Biography

Prof. Dust manages the established chair of "quality strategy and quality competence" at the Technical University Berlin (TU) since October 2014. Establishing the endowed chair, the German association of the automotive industry (VDA) aims to secure new technologies, global supply chains and future business models in the automotive industry. Previously, he taught and conducted research at the university of Heilbronn as professor of supply chain management.

Prof. Dust studied aerospace technology at the TU Berlin. Quality management methods in the product development process were already topic in his dissertation at the university of the Bundeswehr in Munich.

He was 15 years in leading position in development and purchasing at the BMW Group (Munich), Porsche AG (Stuttgart) and Mercedes-Benz Technology Consulting (Sindelfingen) and was responsible for numerous projects in  European countries, North America and Asia.

He is a board member of the BME of Heilbronn-Hohenlohe rather or Berlin Brandenburg region. In addition, he has worked as an advisor in the automotive supply industry.

Since May 2015, he is head for the Knowledge Transfer Industry and Science.
